A webcam is attached to a computer to take images and videos and send them in real-time to another computer over the internet. It is connected to the computer through the USB or PS/2 port, or over a wireless connection such as Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Most models can also take images and videos even when offline.
Types of webcam
1. The Wired model - This model connects to the computer port using a peripheral cable. It usually comes with a clip at the base that secures it to a table or a stand for stability. It has a relatively low frame rate and is relatively cheaper to the other models.

3. Most camera models fall within the $30 to $100 range. Choose one that fits your budget and needs.
4. Make sure your computer meets the camera's minimum hardware and memory requirements.
